Shopping: Local stores at Mullion and The Lizard. Tesco, Sainsburys, Co op & Lidl in Helston
Post Office: Mullion GP: MullionLocal bus service is available within a five minute walk from the site. Buses at the moment run from early morning to late evening, and run to and from Helston to The Lizard.
Poldhu cove is the nearest sandy beach. It has toilet facilities, a super café, which is opened 363 days of the year, and during the summer months, even opens some evenings for pizzas etc. It also has a surf school and during the holiday period is serviced by RNLI lifeguards.
An 18hole links golf course is within two miles, situated between two sandy beaches of Gunwalloe Church cove and Poldhu cove.
The coastal path offers a lot of walking with fantastic views, some of which can be connected by the buses.
The Helford River, around which Daphne Du Maurier’s ‘Frenchman’s Creek’ was based, also offers many walks with lovely scenery.
Helston is the home of the Floral dance or Furry Dance. This is celebrated most years on 8th May,
On the Lizard peninsula there are some excellent eating places with ingredients sourced locally, and many quaint pubs, where occasionally local folk groups and singers perform.
